Welch Mechanical Designs has extensive experience designing and manufacturing convex, concave and plano diffraction gratings that meet or exceed the highest industry standards.

Our state-of-the-art Single Point Diamond Turning centers are thermally controlled to 0.2 °F (0.11 °C), providing a stable machining environment for long cuts. We have also developed unique materials that provide a highly stable substrate for the finished grating.
